Dave Rich update 11/20/18

Hi Ann,

The Grille Bullet & surround and the Tire Cover face were the focus on Friday. 

The Grill parts were disassembled and dents removed.

The shape (it was more of a tri-oval shape) has been corrected on the grille surround and it and the bullet are now almost ready for chrome re-plating.

It was tedious work due the nature of the damage to these parts and the detail of the "8" in the center and the concentric rings.  

The rear tire cover had the larger creases removed, then was put on the English wheel tool. The remaining dings and creases in the face came out nicely after a bit of working, though the picture doesn't really show all that well.  There are few surface rust areas to tend to and a few small dings in the inner ring that the wheel couldn't get to but otherwise, the tire cover is just about ready to do finish body work and paint prep.

I'm going to order up the metal for the front floor and rocker panels along with the disc brake and front & rear suspension parts we will need as well.

Our Car Rotator arrives tomorrow.  This tool will allow us unrestricted access to the bottom of the car once the body is removed from the frame and will make the undercoating removal and metal replacement go easier and faster.
